Who We Are?

The Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics began accepting students in 1999, at a pivotal moment when interdisciplinary research was gaining prominence. Recognizing the importance of fostering student development, the ITU Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Club was established in the 2001-2002 academic year. The club's primary mission is to unite students passionate about molecular biology and genetics, promoting scientific knowledge sharing and creating a collaborative research and innovation environment.

beeology

Beeology Journal is a student initiative project established under the ITU MBG club. With the impact of the pandemic, it was founded in 2022 with the aim of raising awareness in the field of biology, exploring innovations and opportunities in this area, and sharing student achievements with a wider audience. This community, composed mostly of students from the Molecular Biology and Genetics department, is shaped by contributions from students in other disciplines like basic sciences and engineering who are interested in biology.
