As the ITU Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Club, we provide a platform for participants to develop their scientific vision through the annual International ITU Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Congress. Our congress aims to enhance scientific knowledge sharing and academic interaction by bringing together leading academics conducting innovative research in the field of molecular biology and genetics with students.
This event is open to university students both from Turkey and abroad, and we expect approximately 1200-1500 participants each year. In addition to offering a rich program including presentations, workshops, and case studies, our congress also allows participants to explore Istanbul through cultural activities. Therefore, our congress is not only a scientific event but also an organization where cultures come together and our country is promoted.
Scheduled to take place from November 1 to 3, our congress aims to bring together young researchers interested in science, providing a platform that contributes to their academic careers and enhances their scientific awareness. In this congress, which we organize annually, distinguished scientists from leading universities abroad present their own research and work; thus, participants have the opportunity to gain insight into the latest scientific developments and communicate directly with experts in their fields.
One of the highlights of our congress is the interaction between scientists and students, where researchers answer questions and provide guidance on scientific careers. Feedback from professors and students who attended in previous years has been extremely positive, with participants expressing satisfaction with both the content and organization of our event. Our congress hosts over 300 participants each year, the majority of whom are undergraduate and graduate students. This indicates that our event offers extensive opportunities for young researchers and scientists, supporting individuals who will shape the future of the scientific world.
The International ITU MBG Student Congress is unique in being an international congress entirely organized by students in Turkey. This aspect is crucial for the uniqueness of the organization and the active involvement of young scientists at every stage of the process. As students, we view our congress not only as a scientific event but also as a platform that contributes to the academic and professional development of participants.
